Sufjan Stevens - Somewhere Over The Rainbow
As a musician, and really just a person who enjoys culture, the question “if you could only listen to one artist for the rest of your life, who would it be?” comes up an awful lot. My answer is always Sufjan Stevens.
I have not had a bad life, I had a great childhood and enjoy every day that I wake up to. However, I have had some bad moments in my life. Fights, divorce, death, all things I have dealt with in my short life so far on this earth, and with every worrisome moment that I have, I can find solace in the music of Sufjan Stevens.
I have had the privilege of seeing my musical hero live, and it was one of the most magical events in my life. This video here is the distilled version of what makes his music so important to me.
